Industrial Refrigeration Tubing Fabricator (Entry Level)

Imagine this

It’s your first week on our Conyers production floor at Dover Food Retail (DFR). You study a schematic, mark your cuts, and shape copper and steel tubing that will carry refrigerant through a state-of-the-art display case. Your brazes are clean, your bends precise, and when you pressurize the system, it passes the leak test the first time. Your impact

• Transform drawings into finished refrigeration tube assemblies—measuring, cutting, bending, assembling, and installing.
• Braze copper-to-copper joints using a torch and best-practice brazing techniques.
• Route suction and discharge piping with attention to performance and serviceability.
• Create accurate flares and swages; operate a copper saw and tube bender.
• Pressurize and leak-check units to ensure quality and safety.
• Work with: tube cutters, hand vise, power benders, files, flaring/swedging tools, and torch.
• Assist with layout and setup; support teammates as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

What sets you up for success

• High school diploma or GED; or 3–6 months of relevant experience/training; or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Solid arithmetic with fractions and decimals; familiarity with basic algebra and geometry.
• Resourceful problem-solver who can adapt when standards are limited.
• Comfort following instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
