Industrial Reliability and Maintenance Manager

Step into a role where your leadership keeps a manufacturing operation running at peak efficiency. You will guide a skilled maintenance team, architect maintenance strategies, and optimize resources to ensure our equipment and facilities operate safely, reliably, and cost‑effectively.

A day in the life

You start by reviewing overnight equipment performance and work orders in the maintenance system, then align the team on priorities. You coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance on critical assets, support troubleshooting on both mechanical assemblies and high/low voltage electrical systems, and partner with production, quality, and EHS to minimize downtime. Your afternoon is spent advancing improvement projects, coaching leads, and tuning processes for better throughput and quality.

What you will do

  • Implement and refine maintenance strategies that elevate asset reliability and uptime.
  • Plan, allocate, and optimize labor, parts, and vendor resources across multiple facilities areas.
  • Lead safe work practices and support IMSU/EHS requirements across maintenance activities.
  • Own projects end‑to‑end: scope, schedule, budget, execution, and commissioning.
  • Drive continuous improvement in maintenance workflows, standard work, and CMMS utilization.
  • Provide hands‑on guidance in mechanical maintenance and in high and low voltage electrical work coordination.
  • Develop the team through coaching, delegation, and performance management.

Required qualifications

  • 4‑year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 6–8 years of experience in Maintenance; leadership role preferred; manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Strengths in process improvement, decision making, planning, and quality management.
  • People leadership skills: delegation, coordination, coaching, and performance management.
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem‑solving abilities.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS).

Focus areas

  1. Frontline Maintenance Support: Ensure timely response to breakdowns, manage preventive/predictive tasks, and coordinate vendors to sustain equipment availability.
  2. Project Identification & Delivery: Spot opportunities, build business cases, and execute projects that improve safety, quality, capacity, and cost.
  3. Continuous Process Optimization: Standardize maintenance processes, improve work sequencing, and reduce rework and downtime.
  4. Leadership: Set direction, align priorities, and model safe, disciplined maintenance practices.
  5. People Development & Performance: Coach technicians, coordinate schedules, and conduct feedback and reviews.
  6. IMSU/EHS Stewardship: Champion IMSU and EHS compliance, documentation, and audits across all maintenance work.

If you’re energized by improving reliability and leading teams to better outcomes every day, we’d love to meet you.
