Industrial Robotics Maintenance and Integration Technician
Picture your day beginning on the production floor, coffee in hand, scanning status lights across a lineup of ABB, Yaskawa, and Fanuc robots. You note cycle counts, review overnight alarms, and open the teach pendant to refine a path that trims seconds from a cycle. A gripper needs fresh pads, a vacuum cup has worn seals, and an I/O fault hints at a loose connector—nothing you haven’t seen before. By mid‑morning, you’re collaborating with engineers on a small upgrade: a fixture tweak and a pendant adjustment to boost throughput. After lunch, you dive into a root‑cause analysis on an intermittent e‑stop, tracing it to a cable in the dress pack. You wrap the day documenting changes, verifying safety, and handing off a stable cell that’s running smoother than you found it.
What you’ll handle
Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on robotic systems to keep them operating at peak performance.
Service and configure End of Arm Tooling (EOAT), including grippers, fixtures, conveyors, and suction/vacuum tooling.
Use the teach pendant to optimize paths and increase production efficiency and consistency.
Work hands‑on with ABB, Yaskawa, and Fanuc platforms for setup, tuning, and adjustments.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in robotic cells and related automation equipment.
Partner with engineers to implement system improvements, upgrades, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
What you bring
2+ years in a robotics‑focused role with hands‑on maintenance or service experience.
Demonstrated experience with EOAT setup, repair, and optimization.
Training in Robotics, Mechatronics, or a closely related discipline (preferred).
Solid grasp of both electrical and mechanical systems in industrial automation.
Strong troubleshooting mindset and meticulous attention to detail.
Comfort working independently as well as collaborating within a team.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Curiosity and adaptability to learn new technologies and platforms.
