Direct Sales – Virginia Territory

Are you a driven technical sales professional who thrives on building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and closing business? We are seeking a Direct Sales Engineer to manage and grow a Virginia-based territory for a global leader in industrial energy and boiler solutions. This is an opportunity to represent innovative technology that helps customers improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, and meet sustainability goals.

In this role, you will develop new business opportunities, build long-term customer partnerships, and provide consultative sales support throughout the entire sales cycle. You’ll work directly with industrial and commercial customers, identify their operational challenges, develop tailored solutions, prepare proposals, and successfully close sales opportunities.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of technical, engineered, or industrial sales experience

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing new business

  • Self-motivated “hunter” mentality with strong territory management skills

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is a plus

  • Industrial machinery, steam systems, controls, or thermodynamics knowledge preferred

What’s Offered

  • Base salary of $80,000–$95,000 plus uncapped commission

  • First-year on-target earnings of approximately $124,000–$143,000
