Join the DLX team as an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator and help produce our innovative line of DLX shelters and other soft good products. In this role, you'll work with durable materials and industrial sewing equipment to craft precision-made components that meet our high standards for quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Materials: Organize, measure, and cut vinyl and other fabrics according to production specifications.
  • Operate Equipment: Work with a variety of machines including single and double needle sewing machines, pattern tackers, and 3T/5T sergers.
  • Ensure Quality: Inspect products for accuracy, proper sizing, and overall workmanship to meet company standards.
  • Handle Materials: Move and position vinyl materials weighing 50-70 lbs throughout the production process.
  • Maintain Safety & Cleanliness: Follow all safety protocols, use required PPE, and keep your workspace organized and hazard-free.
  • Support Operations: Assist with basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and oiling equipment to ensure smooth daily operation.

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and handling materials
  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate different types of industrial sewing machines
  • Ability to push / pull vinyl fabric which may weigh 50-70 lbs
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends, if necessary
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

Work Environment:

  • Sitting for extended periods
  • Exposure to loud machinery and varying temperatures
  • Wearing appropriate protective gear, such as gloves and safety glasses, is required
