What your day looks like

You arrive on shift focused on safe, reliable performance. You review logs, walk the plant, and bring systems online by reading gauges, meters, and instrumentation. At the HMI, you track key parameters and make precise adjustments. Mid‑shift, you run chemistry tests on steam, cooling, and condensate systems, document results, and correct imbalances. When equipment needs attention, you troubleshoot using test and calibration tools, perform preventive and corrective tasks, and, when needed, overhaul mechanical or electrical components. You’ll also operate forklifts and manlifts, handle bulk chemicals and other hazardous materials with care, uphold site access protocols, and contribute ideas to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety.

What you will own

  • Start, stop, and monitor plant equipment using gauges, meters, and instrumentation
  • Log operating conditions, activities, and observations in both written and electronic records
  • Use computer and monitoring systems to measure, record, and adjust operating parameters
  • Diagnose, maintain, repair, and overhaul mechanical and electrical equipment safely
  • Execute preventive, corrective, and improvement-focused maintenance
  • Conduct chemical analysis and maintain proper control of steam, cooling, and condensate chemistry
  • Maintain accurate chemistry logs and operational documentation
  • Support system enhancements and plant betterment projects to elevate efficiency, reliability, and safety
  • Help develop, revise, and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure compliance with plant procedures and all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Maintain plant security and follow site access protocols
  • Operate forklifts and manlifts safely
  • Safely handle, transfer, and manage bulk chemicals and hazardous materials

What you bring

  • High School Diploma plus trade school, military service, or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of directly related experience
  • Hands-on use of test equipment and calibration tools
  • Developing technical skills with the ability to work under guidance
  • Active progress toward required certifications/licensures
  • Valid state driver’s license
