Come join us and become a member of a Montessori community with a strong history,  exciting today and an even brighter future at Alcuin Montessori School. Established in  1961, Alcuin Montessori is among the oldest Montessori schools in the United States and

the first in Illinois. With programs for children ages birth through 8th grade, we are looking  for bright, motivated, and innovative individuals to become a part of our family.

With two campuses, located in historic Oak Park, Illinois (the homes of Ernest Hemingway  and Frank Lloyd Wright) Alcuin is walking distance from public transportation and many  educational amenities the village has to offer including the Oak Park Public Library, Frank  Lloyd Wright Home and Studio, Hemingway Home and Museum, and Cheney Mansion.

Alcuin Montessori’s mission is to empower our children's inherent love of learning,  inspiring and challenging each child to engage the world as an independent thinker,  creative problem solver, and compassionate citizen. Our teachers are both AMS and AMI  certified, and are supported by a strong administration, an active Board of Trustees, and a  partnership with parents.

Our student body is 200, with families from Oak Park, Berwyn, River Forest, Chicago and  neighboring towns and suburbs. We are dually accredited by the American Montessori  Society, the Independent Schools Association of the Central States, licensed by DCFS, and  recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education as a nonpublic school.

If you are a Montessori trained and certified Lead Teacher in Infant/Toddler (0-3 years) or Primary (3-6  years) and looking to become a part of a rich tradition, grand community and to make a  difference in the future with the children of today, submit your resume to Gina Gleason ggleason@alcuin.org.
