Job Summary
At Jumper Bean Daycare & Preschool, we are expanding within our preschool building and opening new Infant classrooms for the upcoming school year. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Infant Lead Teacher who truly enjoys working with young children and is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
The Infant Lead Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, maintaining a structured and caring classroom, and building strong relationships with both children and families. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to early childhood education and takes pride in supporting children during their earliest stages of growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Follow all OCFS regulations and center policies
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
- Monitor and document children’s development and daily activities
- Maintain consistent routines for diapering, feeding, sleeping, and play
- Ensure proper supervision and safety at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s day and progress
- Work collaboratively with assistant teachers and staff
Qualifications
- CDA certification in Infants or a degree in Early Childhood Education (required for Lead Teacher)
- Previous experience in a child care setting, preferably with infants
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices
- Ability to create a warm, engaging, and structured classroom environment
- Reliable, responsible, and team-oriented
- Passion for working with young children and supporting their development
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
