About CCC Teachers


A Cradlerock Children's Center (CCC) Infant Teacher embraces responsive care, providing intentional experiences that foster each child’s development. A CCC teacher brings energy, patience, and a nurturing presence to support children with diverse personalities and needs.


The ideal candidate is gentle, patient, and collaborative. We're looking for someone who can confidently partner with families, assist in building children’s social-emotional skills, and follow the lead of their mentor or co-teacher to help each child reach their fullest potential.


Key Responsibilities


Health & Safety


· Ensure the safety and welfare of children, protecting them from physical or emotional harm.


· Maintain appropriate child-to-teacher ratios at all times.


· Promote healthy routines, hygiene practices, and a clean environment by sanitizing toys, tables, and surfaces.


CCC Culture & Teamwork


· Contribute to a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for children, families, and staff.


· Communicate professionally and respectfully at all times.


· Support colleagues and participate actively in the CCC team culture.


Classroom & Administrative Duties


· Maintain observation records, collect work samples, and assist with developmental assessments under the guidance of the mentor teacher.

· Follow a comprehensive Maryland State Department (MSDE) approved curriculum and lead age-appropriate activities that promote growth in all areas of development.


· Supervise and engage children during all activities, including mealtimes, rest periods, and play.


· Communicate with families via 'Brightwheel', including daily reports, photos, and videos.

· Attend staff meetings, trainings, and maintain MSDE professional development requirements.


· Complete administrative tasks and weekly reporting as assigned.



Qualifications


· CDA or 90 Hour certification required. A degree in ECE is a plus!

· Strong teamwork, collaboration, communication, organization, and child supervision skills.

· Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.


Working Conditions


· Year-round program with staggered shifts to cover full-day hours.


· Closed for 12 Federal Holidays annually.


· Mandatory (paid) monthly staff meetings and professional development sessions.


Physical Requirements


· Must complete a post-offer physical exam and medical history check.


· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and sit, stand, bend, or move for up to 60 minutes at a time.
