All Around Child is seeking a nurturing, dependable, and passionate Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment where infants and toddlers can grow, explore, and thrive.
The ideal candidate demonstrates warmth, patience, strong classroom management skills, and a deep understanding of early childhood development. This position plays a vital role in supporting children’s physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth during their most formative years.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with our curriculum and early learning standards.
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Ensure full compliance with KDHE licensing regulations, including safe sleep practices and health/safety procedures.
- Provide individualized care and support to meet each child’s unique developmental needs.
- Foster secure attachments and promote social-emotional development.
- Utilize positive guidance and effective behavior management strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, developmental observations, and assessments.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress and daily experiences.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership to maintain classroom consistency and quality standards.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with infants and/or toddlers in a licensed childcare or classroom setting preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Understanding of safe sleep standards and childcare health and safety regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred but not required.
