Infant Toddler Specialist

Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field
• Supervisory Experience; Experience working with infants, toddlers and families

Candidate with Fluency (Read, Write, Speak) in English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities/Duties:

Coordinate child development, disabilities and transition services provided to children and families in the Early Head Start (EHS) Home Visiting Services and Head Start (HS) Center-Based Programming by serving as an active team member of the Early Childhood Education Services team (ECE).

Provide training and technical assistance and monitoring for staff in the use of a developmentally appropriate, assessment-based curriculum. Monitor home-based services.

Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) per state/federal regulations. Position will require record check approval of driving record by LCHS Insurance Provider, as this position is considered a designated position requiring driving as an essential job function. Proof of Degree/Certification and Experience Required to meet the Qualifications for position.

Hours & Salary
Full Time/Full Year (12 months) position
Rate of Pay: $46,461
For those who possess Bilingual Abilities (Eng/Spanish) – 5% additional pay
