Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Infection Prevention Nurse for a travel contract assignment. The Infection Prevention Nurse will lead infection prevention and control initiatives by monitoring healthcare-associated infections, implementing evidence-based practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and educating staff on infection prevention protocols.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, track, and report healthcare-associated infections.
- Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
- Conduct surveillance activities and analyze infection data and trends.
- Educate clinical staff on infection prevention practices and regulatory standards.
- Perform infection control audits and ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, and state guidelines.
- Investigate infection outbreaks and implement corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports for leadership and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Infection Prevention experience preferred.
- Knowledge of CDC infection prevention guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with infection surveillance and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
