We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Kahului location is a 254-bed nursing facility. The Position:We're looking for a passionate Infection Preventionist / RN to oversee the facility infection control program. Responsibilities include:Ensures facility compliance with all regulatory requirements related to education, quality improvement and infection control.Aggregates, analyzes and investigates patterns of infection in the facility. Implements plan of correction for identified problems and presents at the QAA Committee.Oversees employee health issues such as physicals, including the administration of PPD tests and immunizations.Conducts outbreak investigation and initiate control measures. Reports communicable diseases to the state as required by law.Requirements:Graduate of an accredited nursing school.Registered Nurse with the State of Hawaii Board of Nursing.Two years of experience in long-term care preferred.Ability to learn the use of quality improvement methods and materials required.Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).First Aid and CPR preferred.
