HOW YOULL MAKE AN IMPACT
Job Summary: Is responsible for identifying, investigating, monitoring, and reporting healthcare-associated infections. Collaborates with teams and individuals to create and sustain infection prevention strategies and provide feedback.
Reports: Director/Infection Prevention (job code (JC): 023401)
Supervises: None
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY
Required Education: Baccalaureate degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or another related medical field.
Preferred Education: Master of public health (MPH) degree.
Required Experience: Two (2) years of relevant infection prevention and control experience.
Preferred Experience: Two (2) years acute care hospital experience.
Required Certification/License/Registry: Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC®) credential from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) within two (2) years post-hire.
Preferred Certification/License/Registry: CIC® credential from the CBIC at hire.
Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act).
