What You’ll Do
Support adult infectious disease outpatient care alongside RNs, CMAs, and physicians
Perform in-office physical assessments and interpret diagnostic tests to guide treatment plans
Conduct preventive health screenings based on patient age, history, and needs
Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
Maintain accurate, detailed patient records across all visits
Perform office-based specialty procedures following departmental guidelines
Identify opportunities to improve outpatient infectious disease care quality and efficiency
What You Need
Required:
Board certification in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing
Valid North Carolina PA and RN Nurse Midwifery or NP license
DEA license
BLS (CPR) certification from AHA or American Red Cross
Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) certification for neonatal APPs
Minimum of 3+ years of related experience
Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
Preferred:
Experience with HIV patient care and outpatient infectious disease management
