Responsibilities Join a well-established and reputable team of 7 Infectious Disease physicians and 2 Advanced Practice Providers.
• Office space located in Methodist Plaza - attached to our primary hospital, Iowa Methodist Medical Center • Teaching opportunities with local residencies as well as medical students • Large primary care system providing a built-in referral base • Infectious disease consultation and follow-up at 3 UnityPoint Health Des Moines UPH-DM hospitals within a 10-mile radius • Outpatient infectious disease consultation and follow-up • Participate in robust antimicrobial stewardship program at UPH-DMP • Participate in antimicrobial stewardship and electronic consultative services at our affiliated hospitals and clinics • Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve • Large variety of traditional and immunocompromised infectious disease cases, including kidney transplant patients
Qualifications • MD or DO • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Infectious Disease • Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice • Eligible to work in the United States, H1-B cap exempt • J-1 waiver sponsorship available
