The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is seeking aboard-certified or board-eligible Infectious Diseases physicianto join the faculty of theTexas Center for Infectious Disease (TCID)in San Antonio, Texas. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice at one of the nation's only dedicated tuberculosis hospital while participating in medical education, public health, and clinical and translational research.
Position Highlights:
This unique academic position combines inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases practice with opportunities to care for patients with tuberculosis (TB) and Hansen's disease (leprosy). Faculty work alongside nationally recognized experts in tuberculosis and mycobacterial diseases while collaborating with the Heartland National TB Center, state and local public health agencies, and multidisciplinary specialists.

About the Texas Center for Infectious Disease
TheTexas Center for Infectious Disease (TCID)is a nationally recognized, 75-bed specialty hospital dedicated to the care of patients with tuberculosis and other mycobacterial diseases. It serves as one of the largest referral centers in the United States for patients with complicated, multidrug-resistant, and extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis.
Patients are referred from throughout Texas and neighboring states for specialized medical management, complex antimicrobial therapy, and multidisciplinary care.
In addition, faculty participate in specialized outpatient programs dedicated to tuberculosis and Hansen's disease, providing continuity of care across the spectrum of disease.
