Informatica Developer - Greater Boston (Contract-to-Hire Opportunity) 

Our client has an immediate need for an Informatica Developer on-site (3 days per week TWT) for a six-month contract with the possibility of a conversion to full-time. This is an onsite role and requires the candidate to be local to Boston. Manager Notes: This is a mid-senior level role. Candidate must be local to Boston with an Informatica background in an admin capacity. This role requires the ability to communicate clearly and effectively as well as evaluate and assess problems to get things back up and running in a timely manner. In addition, the manager is looking for someone to start with minimal ramp-up time. The goal for this role is to be long-term and convert, as this is to backfill someone who is retiring. There is a developer piece to this role; however, this won’t be the primary responsibility and will take up about half of the candidate’s time once they’re up to speed on everything. PURPOSE:
The selected candidate will be the system administrator across the Informatica suite of products.  This includes but is not limited to Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Master Data Management (MDM), and Informatica Data Quality (IDQ).  This role will require the ability to take on platform ownership, support, and administrator responsibility for multiple products on Windows environments.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Administration and support of Informatica PowerCenter, MDM, and IDQ on-premises environments. Includes installation and configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting issues related to each environment that is running on Windows.
  • Support Application Development and end-user teams in debugging issues found with Informatica processes that first-level support cannot address.
  • Install and configure new products and components, stand up new environments, and act as a point person for upgrades.
  • Monitor change control for impending infrastructure work that may impact environmental availability, which includes things like server and database patching, disaster recovery events, and upgrades.
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, deployment diagrams, and checklists
  • Interact with vendors in rated technology stacks.
  • Knowledge of systems, application architecture, data warehouse architecture, and data modeling.
  • In instances where there is downtime, it serves as a development resource.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience administering Informatica applications, including PowerCenter, Data Quality (IDQ), and Master Data Management (MDM).
  • Must have the ability to look at the complete architecture that an application uses, which includes server operating system, network infrastructure, data storage, and back-end database(s), and use this information for installation and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Solid background in Oracle databases, understanding basic architecture, security configuration, and having SQL skills.
  • Familiarity with MS SQL Server databases as well as Microsoft Windows Server 2019.
  • Integrating with third-party systems, both hosted and on-prem
  • Hands-on Informatica upgrade experience.
  • Scripting knowledge, preferably in PowerShell, Python, or Perl.
  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Extremely Detail Oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with Active Directory/LDAP and Windows configurations
