Work Style: Onsite
Location: Gainesville, FL 
FTE: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
Schedule: Monday – Friday - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

 

The Information Associate is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance of organ donor records and reporting. This role serves as the primary coordinator for OPTN data submissions, monitors data integrity through audits and report reconciliation, and supports the ongoing development and maintenance of the organization's donor management systems. The position also oversees EMR access coordination for partner hospitals, manages compliance-related training and equipment records, and serves as a key liaison between LifeQuest and healthcare partners to support efficient operations and regulatory requirements. Strong attention to detail, data management skills, and the ability to work across multiple systems and stakeholders are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality and compliance reviews of donor records to ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary OPTN data coordinator, responsible for submitting required donor and transplant data within mandated reporting timelines.
  • Review and reconcile SRTR OPO reports against internal databases to ensure data accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Assist with the analysis, design, testing, implementation, training, and support of the organization's web-based organ donor management system.
  • Support system enhancements, process improvements, and new technology projects related to donor data management.
  • Maintain equipment inventories, oversee maintenance records, and coordinate employee training and annual compliance audits.
  • Process culture reports accurately, consistently, and within established timeframes.
  • Manage and coordinate EMR access requests for staff across LifeQuest partner hospitals.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between LifeQuest and partner hospitals regarding EMR access, troubleshooting, and system access issues.
  • Support regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and data integrity initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications:

Education

  • Associate's degree (AA/AS) or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Two (2) years of relational database experience required; or
  • One (1) year of direct experience within the data division of an Organ Procurement Organization (OPO).
  • Strong computer proficiency, including:
    • Microsoft Windows
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Word
    • SQL
  • Experience with Apex preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage responsibilities within established deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders via phone, email, and in-person interactions.

  • May operate a vehicle for business purposes as a non-frequent driver, depending on assignment.
