The Independent Living division of The League is seeking a dedicated, hard-working and self-motivated Information & Referral Coordinator to provide information and referral to consumers, staff, businesses, organizations and the community at large. The ideal candidate should have a strong work-ethic, excellent customerserviceandproblem-solvingskills,andbemotivatedtoserveourcommunity.Preferaqualifiedperson with a disability.

Essential Duties/Skills/Responsibilities/Qualifications

·         Conductsinitialassessmenttodetermineconsumer'sindividualneedstodetermineifTheLeagueprovides services that can assist theconsumer.

·         Connect individuals with disabilities to community resources beyond The League'sservices.

·         Conducts research to assist other League staff members in their efforts to provide l&Rservices.

·         Provides resource information regarding housing, healthcare, transportation, and/or adaptiveequipment.

·         Educates consumers on civil rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act(ADA).

·         Facilitates public presentations to promote TheLeague's mission and disability issues

·         Participates in individual and systemsadvocacy.

·         Provides individual peersupport.

·         Coordinates the Christmas Bureau assistance program for The League'sconsumers.

·         RepresentstheLeagueatcommunityhealthfairs,conductingpubliceducation,awarenessandoutreach activities.

·         AdministerstheLeague'sconsumerdatacollectionsystem,includingnewstaffprofilesetup,datareview, retrieval, reporting, staff training, consumer survey entry, and proceduresmanagement.

·         Assist in consumer information fileaudits.

·         Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer a qualified person with adisability.
