WHAT WE DO:
We focus on providing delivery, staffing, and supported services such as enterprise integration/implementations including, but not limited to, CRM, EAM, ERP, PMO, and QA. We service clients in SLED (state/local gov't & education), financial services, fortune, public utility, as well as regularly partnering with Big 4 SI partners.

Job Title: Information Security Analyst
Location: 100% Remote (Dallas, TX)

Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent

Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship Required. No sponsorship available. Must work on W2.
Schedule: Core business hours are Central Time (CST), 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Position may occasionally require work outside these hours, including evenings and weekends.
Travel: Limited travel required after conversion to full-time.

Position Summary
The Information Security Analyst is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT data and assets. This role combines technical and compliance expertise to create and implement security and privacy controls, policies, and procedures that mitigate risk. The analyst will promote security and privacy governance across the organization, influence technical and non-technical stakeholders, and support Information Security leadership objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor security trends and the emerging threat landscape.
  • Investigate security incidents, including malware infections, data leakage, internal and external network abuse, SPAM/email viruses, phishing attempts, and IDS/IPS alerts.
  • Document support activities and record incident resolutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) working with IT and business teams to develop security programs.
  • Assist with risk assessments for enterprise systems.
  • Document, audit, and validate security controls and recommend enhancements to systems and devices.
  • Detect, report, and track vulnerability remediation for internal and Azure-based systems.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver customer-centric security solutions.
  • Collaborate across teams to improve security and risk posture.
  • Conduct research and review security standards and systems from an IT security, privacy, and governance perspective.
  • Champion security awareness and adoption among end users.
  • Contribute to the development of security and privacy standards, access controls, and governance requirements for applications, network infrastructure, servers, and workstations.
  • Develop and maintain security and privacy documentation, diagrams, and records for implemented technologies.
  • Assist Information Security leadership with strategic planning initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
Security Monitoring & Incident Response
  • Hands-on experience reviewing, prioritizing, and triaging alerts from SIEM platforms such as Splunk, QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Experience working with EDR and anti-malware tools such as CrowdStrike and Microsoft Defender.
  • Ability to distinguish true security incidents from false positives and escalate appropriately.
Enterprise Security Operations
  • Experience supporting security operations within large, distributed enterprise environments.
  • Experience working with remote workforces, global partners, multiple time zones, and diverse technology stacks.
Network & Server Security
  • Strong practical knowledge of networking and server administration best practices.
  • Experience with TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, Windows hardening, and Linux security concepts.
  • Ability to interpret network and host logs to support investigations.
Vulnerability Management & Security Testing
  • Experience reviewing vulnerability assessment reports and determining severity and business impact.
  • Ability to recommend and validate remediation activities.
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Nessus and Qualys.
  • Familiarity with penetration testing tools and methodologies, including Nmap, Burp Suite, and Metasploit.
  • Ability to interpret penetration testing findings and support remediation efforts.
Required Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required.

Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of overall IT experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct information security experience.
  • Broad experience supporting server, desktop, and networking technologies.
  • Linux experience is an asset.
Certifications
  • CISSP or equivalent security certification required/preferred.

  • Familiarity with security frameworks and governance standards, including NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.

Working Conditions
