The Associate Information Security Analyst works as part of a team to monitor, detect and respond to incidents. This role requires coordination of Cyber Security activities across the company and works closely with incident response managers and cybersecurity team members. This role is responsible for addressing suspected and confirmed incidents of varying severity and impact and are expected to investigate, validate, remediate and communicate known details about incidents while working closely with cybersecurity leadership.Â

Job Functions:

  • Conduct basic SOC investigations. Perform initial analysis and triage based on severity, impact and appropriate response.
  • Log events, activities, and findings in incident tracking systems and escalate complex issues or confirmed incidents.
  • Assist in documenting security events to support incident responders and SOC teams, helping identify emerging threats and providing basic insights for resolution.
  • Participate in IR tabletop exercises designed to identify gaps, improve skills, enhance communication.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelorâs Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Business or similar field or HS/GED and 2 years of experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelorâs Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Business or similar field
  • 2 years experience in Cyber Security or related field.
  • Proficiency with Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams across various levels of the organization.
