Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) - Cybersecurity Compliance to support a company focused on Special Operations Mission Planning and Execution (SOMPE) within the Department of Defense. This position is on-site in Tampa, FL. The ISSO will serve as a key cybersecurity compliance and risk management resource, ensuring systems meet strict DoD security standards while supporting mission-critical operations. Responsibilities for the ISSO - Cybersecurity Compliance include:

• Maintain and enforce Information Security policies, standards, and guidelines across assigned systems and programs
• Conduct vulnerability scans using ACAS and assess findings to ensure compliance with DoD and organizational requirements
• Manage and update POA&Ms, tracking remediation progress and ensuring accurate reporting of system security posture
• Prepare audit reports with technical and procedural findings and provide actionable remediation strategies
• Support RMF processes by developing and reviewing SSPs, Risk Assessment Reports, and ATO/C&A documentation

Required Qualifications for the ISSO - Cybersecurity Compliance include:

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or compliance within a DoD environment
• Hands-on experience with ACAS, eMASS, and RMF processes (ATO lifecycle support)
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management, policy enforcement, and risk assessment methodologies
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Active TS/SCI clearance required

Salary Range: Depending on experience
