Job Responsibilities
The Analyst serves as a lead architect providing comprehensive technical and analytical support for the Colleges administrative, and mobile software systems. This role ensures maximum system efficiency across all academic, financial, and administrative operations. Core responsibilities include collaborating with staff to identify data-driven insights; leading data reporting and analysis; and executing the design, programming, testing, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise systems and related stand-alone databases.
Provides end user support for application software utilization by stream-lining processes and designing work-flow. Works with users to identify and implement solutions.
Provides troubleshooting for application software issues by researching the users problem, showing them how to resolve it, or reporting unresolved issues to software vendor solution centers. Serves as a liaison between the end user community and the software vendor.
Implements new application software features by analysis of the application and determining the relevance to the end user. Provides training and support during implementation.
Provides ad-hoc query assistance to end users, encouraging and training them to use available user-friendly tools and to become independent with simple reports and extracts.
Designs and implements customized programs or applications to meet end users or the Colleges needs in the assigned areas. Responsible for the identification and documentation of any custom programs, reports or virtual fields in the assigned areas.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and experience in computer system development and modification. A bachelors degree in a related area may be substituted for the required work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science and programming experience in multiple programming languages, SQL, and a knowledge of database concepts.
Additional Comments
Limited overnight travel required for periodic training and skill upgrade. Evening/weekend hours and travel to other campuses may occasionally be required for scheduled events.
