Strategic Outcomes of this Position

The Information Systems Resident stewards Bridgeway's information platforms and strengthens the technology that supports ministry. Through reliable system administration, accurate data management, and responsive user support, employees and volunteers are equipped with dependable tools, trustworthy information, and the confidence to serve effectively without unnecessary technical barriers.

By administering Planning Center Online and other organizational platforms, maintaining data integrity, coordinating technology resources, supporting end users, and managing relationships with technology vendors, this position ensures information is accurate, systems are dependable, and technology advances ministry rather than complicates it.

The Residency provides a structured opportunity for both the Resident and Bridgeway to evaluate long-term alignment, role fit, and potential for continued employment within the organization.

  • Staff and volunteers receive timely and effective technology support.
  • Planning Center Online and other organizational systems remain accurate, secure, and well maintained.
  • Employee onboarding and offboarding are completed efficiently and consistently.
  • Technology vendors receive clear communication and accountability.
  • Church technology projects are completed on time and according to organizational priorities.
  • Leadership receives meaningful reports and analytics that support informed decision-making.
  • Hardware, software, and licensing inventories remain current and accurate.
  • System documentation, training materials, and operational procedures remain up to date.


  • Information Systems Administration
    • Administer Planning Center Online, Google Workspace, Basecamp, and related platforms.
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, workflows, and system standards.
    • Maintain software documentation and operational procedures.
    • Ensure data integrity across organizational systems.
  • Technology Support
    • Execute assigned tasks related to employee onboarding and offboarding regarding technology.
    • Manage hardware inventory, software licensing, and technology assets.
    • Serve as Bridgeway's liaison with managed IT providers and vendors.
    • Create and execute tasks for technology projects and system implementations.
  • Data & Analytics
    • Maintain organizational reporting and ministry analytics.
    • Develop dashboards and recurring leadership reports.
    • Provide annual reporting and data analysis.
    • Establish standards for data quality and reporting consistency.
  • Administrative Support, Training, & Documentation
    • Train employees and volunteers on organizational systems.
    • Respond to technology and software support requests.
    • Develop knowledge resources and user documentation.
    • Promote consistent adoption of ministry technology.
    • Respond to support requests and general inquiries as assigned.

Required Education and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or higher.
  • Experience in information systems, IT support, database administration, systems administration, or a related field.
  • Experience administering cloud-based organizational systems, user accounts, permissions, and access.
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware, networking, software administration, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting users and maintaining accurate technical or system documentation.

Preferred Education and Qualifications

  • College degree, technical certification, or post-secondary training in information technology, information systems, data management, or a related field.
  • Experience administering the Planning Center suite and Google Workspace/Google Admin.
  • Experience administering Cisco Meraki or comparable managed networking and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting Dell/Windows and Apple hardware environments.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud administration and Google-based analytics platforms.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong systems administration and technical troubleshooting skills across cloud-based applications, computers, networks, and organizational technology.
  • Ability to administer databases and information systems with a high degree of accuracy, security, consistency, and attention to data integrity.
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues, identify practical solutions, coordinate vendor support, and communicate technical information clearly to nontechnical users.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to organize information, identify trends, produce useful reporting, and improve data practices.
  • Ability to develop documentation, standards, and training that enable employees and volunteers to use organizational systems effectively.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Assigned Ministry Logistics interns and volunteers

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a professional office and ministry environment across Bridgeway Community Church locations.

Bridgeway maintains a hybrid work environment as deemed appropriate by the employee’s supervisor and approved by the COO. The standard hybrid schedule is four days on-site and one day remote per week.

Local travel between Bridgeway locations and other ministry-related sites may be required. Occasional out-of-area or overnight travel may also be required.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, reach, grasp, type, and perform repetitive hand movements. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Expected work hours may fall outside of standard business hours as requested and/or approved by the CEO, COO, CFO, or Director of Ministry Logistics, including holidays.

The current workweek is Tuesday through Friday and Sundays.

Due to the nature of information systems and technology support, this position may be scheduled to work outside of Bridgeway’s standard business hours as technology needs arise, including installations, maintenance, upgrades, or other technology work best completed during periods that minimize disruption to church operations. Any work outside of the employee’s approved schedule must receive prior supervisory approval.
