Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.
Responsibilities
As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:
Serve as the principal advisor to the Information System Owner
Review and develop Information Systems (IS) accreditation/certification support documentation.
Maintain RMF standards and Configuration Management
Perform STIGS / SCAP on the network, Self Inspections, and enforce remediation actions
Assess Vulnerability and Risk Management
Create and maintain system Assessment and Authorization policies.
Create, update, and monitor/maintain SOPs and plans including PO&AMs, Continuous Monitoring, SSPs, and Incident Responses
Perform audits (Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly) to identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures
Maintain IS security records and advise and prepare Co-Utilization Agreements
Track software and hardware End of Life (EOL) and End of Service Life (EOSL)
Provide security coordination and reviews on all system test plans
Attend system Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings.
Qualifications
Active TS//SCI clearance with SAP eligibility.
Bachelors degree
6-8 years of relevant experience supporting DoD/IC security and Information Technology systems
Current DOD IAT Level III certification: e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIH
Experience with assessment tools such as ACAS, SCAP, and STIG Viewer
Adept at briefing executives and program IPT level leadership
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Possess an analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills
Current or prior Special Access Program experience a plus!
