MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Systems Security Officer - II to join our team in El Segundo, CA.
The Information Systems Security Officer - II will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to provide day-to-day support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities supporting SSC and AFSPC mission areas. This position requires a five-day a week on-site presence in El Segundo, CA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review, prepare, and update AIS accreditation packages and support certification and accreditation (C&A) efforts.
- Perform AIS self-inspections, conduct security surveys at subordinate facilities, and coordinate, prepare, and track system inspections, reports, and responses. Identify AIS vulnerabilities, implement approved countermeasures, and provide security coordination and review of all system test plans.
- Represent the customer on various technical review and inspection teams while ensuring AIS and network nodes comply with security policies.
- Maintain comprehensive AIS security records and prepare Co-Utilization Agreements for network nodes operating in government facilities.
- Notify the customer when changes occur that might affect AIS accreditation or certification status, and manage required AIS training.
- Must meet position training and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M (IAT-II), JSIG, RMF and ISCM training within 6 months of hire.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR) via both air and ground transportation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; an additional 4 years of related experience might me considered for a degree
- 3+ years of related experience.
- 2+ years of relevant SCI or SAP-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Familiarity with security policies, manuals, and appropriate ICDs, JAFANs, DoD Manuals, and other guiding policy documents.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and interact professionally with diverse DoD, military, civilian, and industry partners.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- High degree of initiative, originality, and creativity with the capability to operate under minimal supervision.
Clearance Requirements:
- An active Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
- Candidates must be eligible for access to Special Access Programs.
- Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph examination is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time in closed-area offices.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside and outside the office to access files, cabinets, and safes, or to remove and install computer-related equipment.
