Job Description:

Position Overview
The Information Technology Analyst position will provide essential technical support and assistance to the Information Technology team and portfolio management operations within Penn Mutual Asset Management (PMAM). This role will focus on providing technical support to investment operations, assisting in daily and month-end business processing automation, supporting reporting and data analysis needs. The role will also support the practical application of AI capabilities to improve operational efficiency, data insights, and process effectiveness across key workflows. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the smooth operation of technology systems and processes related to investment management. Candidate Note: This position operates in a hybrid work environment and requires on-site presence three days per week. (Conshohocken, PA)


Responsibilities

  • Recurring Business Processing Automation (BPA) Support: Monitor daily automated workflow execution. Work independently to identify the underlying issues and assist senior team members in resolving system breakdown. Perform recurring month-end processing tasks. Tasks include but are not limited to security fair value pricing, investment accounting, and portfolio analytics and risk review. Support the evaluation and responsible use of AI-enabled tools to improve operational efficiency, issue detection, and workflow monitoring.
  • Reporting Assistance: Assist Operations team in the production of daily derivative reporting, investment portfolio review, investment accounting review, portfolio performance reporting and other client reporting packages as required. Help explore AI-assisted methods to streamline reporting preparation, data review, and exception identification.
  • Data Management: Aid in managing system interoperability and data transmission, with a focus on bilateral data feeds. Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of data acquisition, aggregation, and transformation processes. Contribute to foundational data quality efforts that support analytics use cases.
  • Infrastructure and Application Technical Support: Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to investment-related desktop tools and on-premise/cloud enterprise applications. Provide timely support to end-users, addressing their technical queries and issues. Install hardware, software, and perform routine maintenance. Responsibilities also include procedural documentation for issue resolution.
  • Reconciliation Support: Maintain production of source files for reconciliation, including holdings and transaction files on a monthly basis. Collaborate on ad-hoc reconciliation of investment data from various service providers to support investment operations.
  • General Support: Undertake other information technology related activities and tasks as assigned by senior team members.


Skills and Abilities

  • 0-1 years of work experience required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and inquisitive approach.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and processes.
  • Exposure to financial services or investment operations is a plus.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.


Experience

  • Knowledge of SQL and experience supporting reporting, data analysis, or business intelligence solutions; experience with cloud-based BI tools is a plus.
  • Experience using Python or similar scripting tools for data analysis, reporting, or process support is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with VBA or macros is a plus.

Base Salary Range - $85,000 - $100,000
