About the role

The Head of Data, Analytics & AI for Mead Johnson Nutrition (MJN) will lead the end-to-end strategy, execution, and scaling of enterprise data, analytics, and AI capabilities across the global business.

This role will be instrumental in continuing the journey of transforming MJN into a data-driven, AI-enabled organization by unlocking value from enterprise data assets, embedding advanced analytics into decision-making, and operationalizing AI at scale across commercial, supply chain, and corporate functions.

The Head of Data, Analytics & AI will define and drive MJN's global data and AI strategy, overseeing data platforms, analytics products, and AI/ML solutions across all regions and functions.

The role will:

  • Lead a global team across US, Mexico City, Philippines, and India
  • Manage strategic vendor ecosystem and delivery partners
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of D&A and AI programs, from use case identification to value realization
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and governance frameworks

The ideal candidate will combine strong business acumen with deep expertise in modern data platforms, advanced analytics, and AI/ML, with a proven track record of scaling data-driven transformation in a global enterprise.

Your responsibilities

Data & AI Strategy

  • Define and execute a multi-year Data, Analytics & AI strategy aligned to MJN business priorities and separation roadmap
  • Establish MJN as a data-driven and AI-native organization, moving from pilots to scaled, embedded AI capabilities
  • Identify and prioritize high-value use cases across commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, and corporate functions

Data Platform & Architecture

  • Build and evolve modern enterprise data platforms (data lake/lakehouse, real-time data, integration layers)
  • Ensure seamless integration of transactional, planning, and external data sources
  • Drive standardization of data models, pipelines, and architecture aligned with enterprise IT&D strategy

Analytics & Insights Delivery

  • Lead development of enterprise analytics products and dashboards to support business decision-making
  • Enable self-service analytics capabilities for business teams
  • Drive adoption of advanced analytics (predictive, prescriptive) across key business processes

AI / ML & Advanced Capabilities

  • Design and scale AI/ML solutions across demand forecasting, media optimization, supply chain, quality, and customer insights
  • Lead transition from AI pilots to AI at scale, embedding models into core business workflows
  • Drive innovation in GenAI, automation, and decision intelligence

Program Delivery & Vendor Management

  • Own end-to-end delivery of D&A and AI programs, ensuring outcomes, timelines, and quality
  • Manage strategic partners, system integrators, and AI vendors
  • Establish strong delivery governance and performance tracking

Data Governance & Compliance

  • Establish enterprise data governance, data quality, and data ownership frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements
  • Drive a strong data stewardship culture across business functions

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, and Executive Leadership
  • Act as the single point of accountability for Data & AI across MJN
  • Influence senior stakeholders to adopt data-driven decision-making and AI-led transformation

Financial Management

  • Own and manage Data & AI budget, including internal costs and vendor spend
  • Ensure delivery of programs within agreed financial targets
  • Track and demonstrate business value and ROI from analytics and AI initiatives

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing global D&A and AI team
  • Develop internal capabilities across data engineering, analytics, and data science
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and accountability

The experience were looking for

  • 15+ years of experience in ERP, Data, Analytics, and/or AI leadership roles
  • Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale data and AI transformations
  • Strong expertise in: data platforms (cloud, lakehouse architectures); advanced analytics and AI/ML; data governance and data management
  • Experience managing global teams and vendor ecosystems
  • Strong business acumen with ability to translate data into measurable business outcomes
  • Executive presence with ability to influence C-suite and senior stakeholders
  • This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time

US salary ranges

USD $187,000.00 - $281,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
