Target Salary Range*:$105,000 - $105,500

Position Overview

The IT/IA Specialist I provides day-to-day support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities within SAPs supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, including HQ Air Force, the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Military Compartments efforts.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration and Configuration

• Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned computer systems.
• Maintain file servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems, and system documentation as required.
• Prepare systems for operational use and support operational testing.
• Perform hardware and software system configurations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Perform system and network appliance patching activities.
• Perform account creations, changes, and deletions across multiple authorization boundaries.
• Provide government-issued laptop support.

Cybersecurity and Authorization

• Review, prepare, and update authorization packages.
• Notify the customer of changes that may affect authorization accreditation.
• Conduct the cybersecurity portion of the self-inspection checklist.
• Review and provide technical and cybersecurity coordination on all Bodies of Evidence that make up the authorization package.
• Identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.
• Ensure information systems and network appliances are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices.

Troubleshooting and Technical Support

• Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance.
• Perform Help Desk and troubleshooting activities.
• Provide external information system client support.
• Perform Video Teleconferencing (VTC) system administration, scheduling, and configuration.

Security and Accountability

• Assist with media control and accountability activities.
• Perform Communications Security (COMSEC) account and equipment management activities.

Qualifications

Experience

• 2–5 years of related experience, including prior experience in roles such as System/Network Administrator or Information Technology/Assurance Specialist. [Required]

Education

• Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. [Required]

Certifications

• IAT Level I. [Required]

Clearance

• Active TS/SCI CI Poly. [Required]

Other Requirements

• Schriever AFB, CO.
• 5 Year Air Force contract.
• Special Access Program (SAP).
