We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy IT Intern to join our Information Technology team for Winter 2027. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting technology operations in a professional business environment and is an excellent opportunity for students looking to apply classroom knowledge to real-world IT projects.
Key Responsibilities:
As an IT Intern, you will work alongside experienced IT professionals and assist with a variety of technology initiatives, including:
- Provide technical support by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues for staff.
- Assist with system maintenance, including computer imaging, software installation, equipment deployment, and asset inventory management.
- Support network and cybersecurity efforts through user account administration, security checks, and backup monitoring.
- Assist with technology projects, including implementation of new tools, report development, cloud-based services, and research of emerging technologies.
- Document technical procedures and contribute to ongoing improvements in IT processes and user support.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Currently enrolled in an associate's or bachelor's degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
Basic understanding of:
- Computer hardware and troubleshooting.
- Microsoft Office applications.
- Windows operating systems.
- Networking fundamentals.
- PHP, Python, and SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
Preferred:
- Previous coursework, projects, or experience related to systems administration, networking, programming, or technical support.
- Interest in cybersecurity, cloud technologies, or business systems.
