Job Summary:
Compensation: $83,680 - $117,152
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and support of the company's systems, infrastructure, and end-user technology platforms. This role supports Windows servers, Microsoft 365, Azure services, networking, endpoint management, security tools, backups, and business-critical applications.
The IT Systems Administrator also provides advanced technical support for escalated user issues, assists with infrastructure projects, improves operational processes, and helps ensure systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs.
Responsibilities/Duties:
System Installation and Maintenance:
Install, analyze, and troubleshooting issues with operating systems and application software, patches, and upgrades.
Apply and oversee OS patches on a regular basis, including updates during non-business hours that may impact production systems.
Perform and monitor cloud-based system backups and recovery of hybrid environments.
Network and Connectivity:
Monitor internal network, LAN, and WAN to troubleshoot and resolve issues as proactively as possible.
Implement and manage local and remote connectivity via LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and cloud-based resources.
Support and maintain the company's telecom/VoIP infrastructure.
Security and User Management:
Recommend, implement, and maintain corporate security policies and systems, including firewalls and virus and spam filters.
Assist in maintaining user accounts with special attention to security on all data and voice systems.
Customer Support:
Provide a high level of support, including technical assistance and training to system users.
Handle Help Desk support calls as needed, particularly those requiring a more advanced skillset, with an emphasis on excellent customer support.
Maintains a customer-focused mindset.
Device and Ticketing System Management:
Manage and maintain device management systems and help desk ticketing systems.
Availability:
Available after hours and weekends as needed.
On-call every other weekend to check system status and respond to major system problems within 6 hours.
