Job Description and Duties
Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I, the Information Technology Supervisor II directs and oversees the activities of Information Technology Specialist I's and Information Technology Associates who support the Workers' Compensation Information System (WCIS), Utilization Review (UR) and Doctors First Report (DFR) systems that interface with external trading partners and their systems, including oversight and management of ongoing support and maintenance as well as development and implementation of change requests and issue resolution.

The incumbent will be assigned a space located on the 4th floor of the Elihu Harris State Building located in Oakland. The location has elevator access and is fully air conditioned with natural and artificial lighting. Telework will be allowed under certain circumstance or as job duties dictate. Most times, the incumbent will be working in front of a computer. A laptop will be provided.

Department Information
The Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) was established in 1927. Knowledge:
Software Development Life Cycle.
Supervisory and Mentoring experience of Application Development Staff.
Engage with business partners on business development strategies, IT Strategic Planning, Enterprise Architecture, Identity Management, Disaster Recovery, Quality Assurance, Security Risk Management and Data privacy and security.
Skills:
Hands on Experience and Familiarity with Oracle Application and Database Software, or its equivalent.
Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with both technical and business staff.
Possess detail oriented and effective organizational skills.
Maintain a high level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality; use sound professional judgment, exercise initiative, and objective action.
Experience working in Cloud Environments.
