Duties and responsibilities will vary depending on departmental needs.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
• Providing assistance to server support systems administration and end-users relating to computer and/or networking problems. • Identifying and analyzing software and network related problems and recommending solutions for those problems. • Assisting users in maintaining their desktop computing environment. • Troubleshooting web and e-mail problems. • Assisting with installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software. • Designing and editing web sites.
Emergency Hire opportunities are limited to 130 calendar days of employment.
Required qualifications may vary based on assignment. Candidates with the appropriate combination of experience and skills will be considered.
B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent related experience, demonstrated computer troubleshooting and maintenance skills, experience with various programming languages, and experience with HTML are required.
Additionally, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to interact comfortably and respectfully with all individuals in a diverse multicultural environment are necessary.
