Information Technology - Systems Analyst, Finance

Position SummaryProvide system administration, support, and systems analysis of assigned applications. Provide level 2 software application support for the university user community. Resource for level 1 system analyst to ensure timely resolution of tickets. This is a 100% on-campus position.Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Monitor, maintain, and coordinate minor upgrades for technology systems in assigned responsibility areas, including problem-solving and implementing system modifications.Coordinate the execution of user acceptance testing procedures and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process.Analyze business process issues and/or problems and provide consulting assistance to system users; conduct research on possible solutions and make recommendations based on findings; suggest, design, test, implement, and evaluate solutions.Brainstorm new ways to add more functionality to systemsCoordinate creation, updates, and retirement of interfaces for supported applicationsDemonstrate thorough and friendly customer service to the university communityCommunicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, to different audiencesMay perform all or some of the responsibilities above and other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Attributes

Bachelor's Degree in a computer-related or business-related discipline requiredMinimum 2 years experience in system administration, level 2 application support, and troubleshootingExperience with and understanding of academic environment and familiarity with academic-related applications preferredExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailPossess a strong work ethic and team player mentalityAbility to take initiative and be self-motivated, as well as collaborate successfully with a teamFamiliarity with Ellucian Colleague SystemsExperience with Financial ApplicationsAbility to work on campus full-time

Unusual Working ConditionsWorking after hours, on weekends, and holidays to complete assigned tasks is sometimes required.
