Job Summary

This position is advertised from the minimum to the mid-point hourly rate. Salary will be determined based on education and experience at the time of offer.

NATURE OF WORK

Under general supervision, performs, provides and conducts a variety of training and assistance in support of Court's IT Information Technology (IT) system automation and technology operations; identifies, researches and recommends changes to improve operations.

Nature of Work

(Illustrative Only) Analyzes and evaluates business processes and recommends improvements; researches and evaluates automation and technology related operations; identifies and recommends improvements and upgrades to equipment, software and court processing techniques; creates and provides IT training programs; determines training needs; compiles and creates training materials; reviews and provides corrections to a variety of court-related and court-specific software programs; may travel to different court departments to train employees and/or offer technical assistance; provide reporting on training delivered; serves as liaison between courts and regional justice system agencies and departments; attends meetings and provides input and information; writes and maintains IT training lesson plans. policies and procedures and associated manuals; may assist in the review of court operations helps implement changes to operations, policies, procedures, protocols and/or other operating documents; as authorized, creates, updates and maintains forms; identifies and recommends improvements; may give recommendations for departmental purchasing by soliciting and evaluating vendor quotes; performs related duties as required or assigned.

Experience and Education

Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or closely related field; AND two years of IT system support and training experience, or closely related duties; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: This classification requires the applicant to pass criminal background checks; A valid Arizona State Driver's License is required.; Arizona Committee on Judicial Education and Training (COJET) yearly accreditation is required; may be required to obtain and maintain AOC trainer certifications. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in a standard office environment and Court facilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of: Applicable State of Arizona statutes, rules, administrative orders, policies and procedures, applicable federal rules and requirements; Yuma County and Superior Court policies and procedures; Superior Court in Yuma County- Rules of the Judicial Merit System and the Code of Conduct for Judicial Employees; legal terminology and court processes and procedures; computer hardware and software systems planning, technical support, and training functions; administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) specialized software applications; data base organization, access, and retrieval techniques; data communications principles, practices, and restrictions; basic research techniques, methods, and procedures; basic principles of case flow management, fiscal operations, records management, IT system management, space and equipment management, and information research.

Skills in: Interacting with people of different social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds; working under pressure in a dynamic work environment with changing demands and priorities; establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with court employees, and the public; reviewing and evaluating office operations, IT systems, and hardware and software applications; effectively communicating in verbal and written forms; operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software applications; coordinating the efforts of court personnel to accomplish program goals and objectives.

Ability to: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with judges, elected officials, staff, other agencies, and the general public; follow written and oral instructions; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; manage and perform multiple priorities under stressful situations.

Medical Coverage Category

The YCEBT is a self-funded medical plan administered by BlueCross BlueShield of Arizona (BCBSAZ). The employee is able to select from two (2) medical plan options with six (6) tiers that will best suit the employees needs, dependents or families.

Plan Option 1: Preferred Provider Option A (PPO) or PPO A 1100 deductible. Employees who participate in the "Wellness Incentive" will receive a $30 monthly premium reduction by completing a preventative visit.

Plan Option 2: High Deductible High Plan - Health Savings Account (HDHP-HSA) with a 1700 deductible. Employees who participate in the "Wellness Incentive" will receive a $30 monthly premium reduction by completing a preventative visit.

Employer contributes a total of $800.04 to employees Health Savings Account. If employees select Employee only and participate in the "Wellness Incentive" employees can receive up to 360.00 contribution to a Limited Purpose FSA card to be used for medical or dental purposes.

International Medical Solutions (IMS): IMS is available to employees who are enrolled in YCEBT Medical PPO Plan A and HDHP. Members enrolled in the PPO plan can pay as little as $5 copay for doctor visits & prescription drug services, with no maximum cap. High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) pay toward their deductible until is met. After the deductible is satisfied, the plan will pay 80% of the services covered, and the member will be responsible for the remaining 20% coinsurance.
