Job Title: Product Owner
Location : Frederick, MD - 100% onsite.
Duration: 6 months with Possible Extension
Pay Range: $40 - $50/Hour on W2 without benefits.

Introduction:
The Product Owner is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering high-value product capabilities across insurance, finance, and digital platforms. This role acts as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of scalable, compliant, and customer-centric solutions. Operating in an Agile environment, the Product Owner will own the product backlog, drive roadmap execution, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer experience goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Finance, or a related field
  • 7-12 years of experience in Product Ownership/Product Management
  • Proficiency in Agile delivery environments (Scrum/SAFe, backlog management, user stories)
  • Strong Insurance Domain Expertise (Life Insurance, policy lifecycle, underwriting, claims)
  • Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with Digital Platforms (APIs, CRM – Salesforce, cloud/AWS/Azure)
  • Knowledge of Insurance Regulatory Frameworks
  • Certifications: CSPO / PSPO / SAFe Product Owner / PMP

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities
  • Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements
  • Prioritize features based on business value, regulatory requirements, and customer impact
  • Drive end-to-end delivery across Agile Scrum or SAFe frameworks
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Grooming, Reviews, Retrospectives)
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Business SMEs, IT development and QA teams, vendors, and third-party partners
  • Translate business requirements into technical deliverables
