THE WORK:

• You'll provide senior-level field engineering support during active construction, including earthwork, bridge and structural elements (viaducts, foundations, CIDH piles, retaining walls), roadway, utilities, and grade separation elements. • You'll review construction means and methods for compliance with plans, specifications, safety requirements, and constructability, with particular focus on structural work and sequencing. • You'll understand how daily field activities impact critical path schedule, cost, risk, traffic handling, and public impacts and support resolution of field issues, conflicts, and unforeseen conditions with a solution-oriented mindset. • You'll identify potential downstream impacts early and proactively elevate issues to the RE/CM team. • You'll support coordination between design intent, construction execution, and contract requirements and assist with review of RFIs, submittals, structural shop drawings, change orders, and field directives. • You'll support quantity tracking, progress verification, and pay estimate documentation and maintain accurate field records, daily reports, and photo documentation. • You'll coordinate with inspectors, surveyors, utility owners, structural engineers of record, rail agencies (if applicable), and third-party stakeholders. • You'll participate in construction meetings and provide informed technical input and communicate clearly and professionally with contractor supervision and client representatives. • You'll support QA/QC processes and verification of work in place, particularly for structural concrete, foundations, and bridge elements. • You'll reinforce safety expectations and compliance with project safety plans and assist with compliance related to environmental commitments, traffic control, and public agency requirements.

Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
