About the Role
We are building a serverless edge compute platform - Lambda-style, but on Telnyx global edge network with VM-level isolation. You will help scale from 1 cluster to 8+, unblock the team on networking and security, and build the foundation for AI-first compute.
What You Will Do
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters (RKE2/Rancher) across multiple cloud providers • Build and maintain WireGuard VPN tunnels connecting Telnyx to isolated edge clusters • Own Ansible automation for cluster provisioning and configuration • Manage infrastructure-as-code with Terraform/OpenTofu (DigitalOcean, Zenlayer, bare metal) • Build out Prometheus metrics pipelines for billing and observability • Harden security: network policies, firewall rules, air-gapping compliance
What You Bring
3+ years hands-on Kubernetes in production Strong networking fundamentals (VPNs, firewalls, NAT, routing) Infrastructure-as-code experience (Ansible, Terraform) Linux systems administration Security mindset - you think about attack surfaces
