Join us!Job Description:This job is responsible for tool and service designs within a technical domain that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. Key responsibilities include creating infrastructure tools and their integration as a service, facilitating deployment of technical solutions by developing templates, playbooks and automation used during implementation. Job expectations include looking for opportunities to improve efficiency when implementing and maintaining tools/services and embracing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Overview:Provide middleware administration duties for Data Management Technology (DMTEA), end-to-end, including WebSphere, jBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IBM HTTP Server, and WXS (extreme scale cache); Delivering middleware enterprise projects and regulatory legislative initiatives; Ensuring production stability from an ongoing support standpoint; Ensuring middleware platforms are patched with the most current version of software, helping to manage risk to the customer; Providing Middleware Server administration which includes server installation, configuration, performance tuning and production support; Working with customers (application teams and/or testing teams) on a daily basis and providing Middleware and Java support; Create, maintain and support the application deployment templates; Serving as a J2EE architect and making recommendations on J2EE best practices in application development; Designing Middleware infrastructure and topology design for high availability and failover capability; All solutions must meet all Policy, Baseline, and Standards along with business requirements. Providing technical consultation to other team members and their supported areas; Communicating with business partners at an enterprise level; Interfacing with internal customers and external vendors for consultation at various points of the software development life cycle (SDLC); and, Executing production changes for Bank integrated and regulatory releases with precision.Responsibilities:Provides subject matter expertise and consulting services on a range of technologies and assists Technical Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure that technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standardsAssists with translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policiesAssists in the evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purposeDevelops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processesConducts on-site evaluations of third-party products being considered for firm adoptionPromotes an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockersContributes to the creation/selection of functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements within and across domainsRequired Qualifications:Information Technology professional with 5-7+ years of experienceMiddleware products: Apache, J2EE, Java, JBoss, WebSphere Application Server, TomcatBPM products: AppianOperating System: LinuxJava/Container Framework KnowledgeKnowledge of Shell, Python, and perl scriptingUnderstanding of Network infrastructure (HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS,DNS, Load-balancers, firewalls, proxies, B2B links)Experience with Release Deploy Tools: Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, BitBucketExcellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detailBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in a Computer Science or related fieldDesired Qualifications:Prior Bank of America experienceWork with WebSphere Extreme Scale, BPM Middleware AdministrationDEVOPS experienceOther products: BMC Truesight Server Automation, Harman mDeliver, Ansible Tower, TerraformSkills:Analytical ThinkingApplication DevelopmentAutomationProduction SupportRisk ManagementAdaptabilityBusiness AcumenDevOps PracticesSolution Delivery ProcessSolution DesignArchitectureCollaborationInnovative ThinkingStakeholder ManagementTechnical Strategy DevelopmentShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40 Learn more about this role Apply × To proceed with your application, you must be at least 18 years of age.
