The Infrastructure Engineer has a mid-level understanding of many components of the IT infrastructure and appreciates how the component pieces work together to enable end user applications and support services. While technical specialization in areas of server, compute, network, storage, data centers, communication services, data protection services, and virtualization is pervasive Infrastructure Engineers are encouraged to obtain moderate depth of knowledge and experience across multiple engineering disciplines. Infrastructure Engineers support senior and lead engineers with technical infrastructure implementation, automation and ongoing maintenance activities. Additionally, the Infrastructure Engineer provides feedback, recommendations and as-built documentation on technical and architectural designs throughout the infrastructure''s life-cycle.
