TLS – transport layer security (required)
Network protocols
Candidate will be technical resource for project manager for technical discussions.
Knowledge of mainframe is good but not required
PCAP (Packet Capture) files containing recorded network traffic (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
Wireshark traces & packages.
Experience with Cybersecurity is good but network is fine too.
Strong communication skills as they will be communicating more..
Understanding TLS conceptions, and migrations but not doing migration.
Job Responsibilities
Job Description:
• Provide stable and secure mainframe network engineering support
• Mainframe Network Product installations, customizations and evaluations.
• Definition, Maintenance and Modification of existing z/Series Network Products
• Manage & Support Transmission Products – FTPs (SSL), sFTP (SSH), & Connect:Direct Secure (NDM)
• Manage & Support Session Manager applications - TPX, Supersession
• Develop Mainframe Network Toolkits with the help of NetMaster, NetView, Rexx & CLISTS
• Maintain Mainframe Network Components: TCP/IP including DVIPA & DDVIPA configurations, IPSEC, IPFILTER, Intrusion Detection Services (IDS), Enterprise Extender (EE), SNA, VTAM, APPN, OSA connectivity interface to the Core
• Provide logical connectivity between applications and mainframe subsystems
• Performance tuning & Development of operational procedures
• Support TCP/IP encryption methods (IPSEC, AT-TLS, and TLS) and monitoring of protocols and cyphers aligned to company policies
• Have knowledge on Network Monitoring tools (Wireshark, Omegamon, Mainview, Mainframe Tracing, Sniffers)
