About the Opportunity
GOR Group is supporting a leading mission critical infrastructure organization seeking a Division 27 Engineer to support the coordination, planning, and execution of structured cabling and low-voltage infrastructure systems across complex construction projects.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, infrastructure coordination, and helping bridge the gap between design and field execution. You will work alongside BIM/VDC teams, subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and project stakeholders to ensure Division 27 systems are coordinated, constructable, and ready for successful installation.
From pathways and backbone infrastructure to racks, cabinets, and telecommunications systems, this role plays a critical part in supporting project delivery from preconstruction through turnover.

What You'll Do
Technical Coordination & Execution
- Review structured cabling and low-voltage infrastructure scope with subcontractors and project teams
- Validate pathways, room layouts, rack elevations, cabinet requirements, and installation assumptions
- Help convert design intent into coordinated, field-executable work packages
- Support installation sequencing and construction readiness efforts
Collaboration & Project Support
- Coordinate with BIM/VDC teams, procurement teams, technical leads, and field leadership
- Participate in constructability reviews and coordination meetings
- Identify scope gaps, interface conflicts, design omissions, and execution risks before release to the field
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, revisions, and technical documentation updates
Procurement & Field Support
- Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to align material deliveries with project schedules
- Provide technical clarification and coordination support to field teams during installation
- Support field redlines, as-built documentation, and project closeout activities
- Assist with commissioning preparation and turnover documentation
Systems You'll Support
- Copper and fiber backbone systems
- Horizontal cabling and telecommunications infrastructure
- Cable tray, pathways, racks, and cabinets
- Equipment rooms and supporting technology infrastructure
- Coordination across Division 26, Division 27, and Division 28 systems
What We're Looking For
- 3–6+ years of experience supporting structured cabling, low-voltage infrastructure, or technical construction environments
- Working knowledge of Division 27 systems including:
- Copper and fiber infrastructure
- Pathways and cable tray
- Racks, cabinets, and telecommunications systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
- Understanding of installation sequencing, room readiness, and field coordination workflows
- Familiarity with design-build and design-assist delivery methods
- Experience supporting RFIs, submittals, revisions, and field change processes
- Strong communication and coordination skills across subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and field teams
- Problem-solving mindset focused on constructability and project execution
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, schedule-driven construction environments
- Experience supporting data center or mission critical projects preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
- BICSI Technician or related certifications are a plus
