The ESS GRIFFON program is harnessing cutting-edge technologies to deliver the next generation ground system for the US Strategic Comms mission. The Infrastructure IPT lead will direct all aspects of the ground infrastructure to include both factory and operational networks. The candidate will be responsible for all schedule and technical baselines in addition to risks and opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Detailed design, development, product integration and unit test for the Contractor Integrated Development Environment (C-IDE) and multiple operational sites.
  • Be accountable for driving cost, schedule, and technical performance across different phases of the program lifecycle.
  • Manage Performance Measurement Baseline and evolve metrics with EVMS fundamentals
  • Develop/Implement program roadmaps to define Ground Architecture and Cyber capabilities that are aligned with the IMS
  • Develop Factory and Operational Cyber strategies to minimize vulnerabilities and maintain ATOs
  • Ensure program requirements are well defined and align with program roadmaps
  • Manage multiple Agile teams with a focus on infrastructure and cyber development
  • Define staffing requirements and interface with Program EPM to onboard staff
  • Lead/Participate in program reviews, stakeholder reviews and change control boards

Basic Qualifications:

  • Background in engineering, specifically related to Ground Architecture and/or Cyber engineering
  • Leadership experience and demonstrated ability to meet cost, schedule, technical objectives
  • Previous direct customer interface experience
  • Experience with Risk and Opportunity management
  • Experience with Strategic SATCOM capture/proposal efforts
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • Knowledge of the ESS GRIFFON architecture
  • LM Architecture Development & Qualification Program (ADQP) completion
  • Successful management of development teams
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective customer relations

  • Successful history of developing technical talent and building technical pipelines

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $164,300 - $289,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
