" Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
" Partner with systems engineering, network engineering, data center operations, and facilities teams to successfully deploy infrastructure into new and existing data center sites
" Facilitate technical discovery efforts and coordinate project requirements across technical and business stakeholders
" Develop and actively manage detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, resources, deliverables, dependencies, and timelines utilizing Waterfall project management methodologies
" Collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and site personnel to support successful infrastructure deployments and site build activities
" Manage project scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations while balancing business objectives and technical requirements
" Review proposed project changes and work with stakeholders to evaluate, approve, and implement beneficial modifications
" Provide regular project status reporting to senior leadership and executive stakeholders, including project health, risks, issues, and key milestones
" Support deployment and lifecycle management of core network, systems, and infrastructure assets across multiple data center locations
" Partner with general contractors, local contractors, and internal teams throughout data center construction and infrastructure implementation projects
" Ensure adherence to organizational project management standards, processes, and documentation requirements
" Continuously improve project management processes, operational procedures, and project documentation
Day to Day Responsibilities
" Coordinate activities between systems engineers, network engineers, data center technicians, facilities teams, contractors, and business stakeholders
" Manage multiple concurrent infrastructure projects within a fast paced, deadline driven environment
" Track project tasks, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and resource assignments to ensure successful execution
" Facilitate project meetings and maintain communication across technical and non technical teams
" Support infrastructure deployment activities for new data center builds and expansion projects
" Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and ensure project objectives are clearly defined
" Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies and drive timely resolution
" Coordinate activities involving networking, systems, connectivity, power, cooling, and facility infrastructure components
" Conduct project reviews and support site visits during critical phases of infrastructure deployment projects
" Maintain project documentation, status reports, meeting notes, and stakeholder communications
" Assist local site teams with infrastructure asset management and operational readiness activities
" Ensure project deliverables are completed according to established timelines and quality expectations
Preferred Experience and Attributes
" Experience managing IT infrastructure projects within enterprise environments
" Strong project management experience utilizing traditional Waterfall project management methodologies
" Experience managing infrastructure projects through defined project phases, milestones, dependencies, and change control processes
" Experience developing detailed project plans and managing project execution against established timelines and deliverables
" Strong understanding of networking, systems, and infrastructure technologies
" Experience working closely with systems engineering, network engineering, and infrastructure operations teams
" Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, server infrastructure, storage platforms, and virtualization technologies
" Understanding of data center environments including power, cooling, connectivity, and space considerations
" Experience supporting infrastructure deployments within data center environments
" Experience working on data center construction projects and partnering with contractors throughout project execution
" Ability to understand both IT infrastructure and facility systems including electrical and mechanical environments
" Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities
" Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
" Experience presenting project updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
" Strong organizational, time management, and problem solving abilities
" Ability to operate effectively within a fast paced, cross functional matrixed environment
" Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
" Experience in IT, project management, service delivery, or customer relationship management
" PMP certification preferred
" ITIL certification preferred
" Experience with project management applications such as Microsoft Project or Clarity preferred
" Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred
" Experience managing customer migration projects preferred
