And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.As an Infrastructure Reliability Engineer you will proactively drive reliability risk identification, assessment, and mitigation for datacenter infrastructure equipment (e.g., LV Generator, MV Transformers, LV SWGR, Breakers, UPS, HV Transformers). You will also be responsible for root cause analysis of critical equipment failures and drive continuous improvements to enhance datacenter availability for AWS customers. You will work closely with internal and external partners, including suppliers, to drive key aspects of product specification, risk identification, and execution. You must be ownership‑minded, independent, action‑oriented, and results‑focused to succeed in an open, collaborative environment.ResponsibilitiesUse a Physics‑of‑Failure approach to develop and implement analytical and empirical methods for product quality/reliability risk identification and assessment during product design, manufacture, and deployment.Drive AWS application‑specific requirements in conducting lifecycle environmental and operational stress‑driven risk analysis, including thermal, electrical, chemical, and mechanical stresses to identify overstress and fatigue‑related product weaknesses.Evaluate product design quality/reliability risks and assess electronics manufacturing process related quality/reliability issues.Analyze test and field data using statistical techniques and models.Identify critical components and drive vendor selection and qualification at the component level.Develop datacenter system‑level reliability models and perform reliability quantification and risk analysis for datacenter configuration optimization.Monitor product performance in the field, conduct root cause analysis of critical failures, and drive corrective and preventive actions.Lead effective vendor auditing and quarterly review processes to continuously improve datacenter availability.Qualifications4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission‑critical facilities, including data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.4+ years of commissioning experience.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.Knowledge of statistical techniques and models for reliability analysis.Ability to manage vendor relationships and drive continuous improvement.Willingness to travel within the U.S. and internationally.Location & CompensationUSA, VA, Herndon – 116,800.00 – 160,000.00 USD annually.BenefitsThe base salary range for this position is 116,800.00 – 160,000.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
