Job Description
We are seeking a Hardware Engineer IV to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in computer hardware architecture, digital design, and systems integration and a proven ability to deliver reliable hardware solutions from concept through production.
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve plan layouts, including selections and modifications for computers and peripheral equipment.
- Review and approve product prototypes, working models, and theoretical models constructed with simulation.
- Supervise equipment operation and approve modifications to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Write detailed functional specifications to document development and support hardware introduction.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and evaluate hardware-software interfaces and system performance requirements.
- Provide training and support to system designers and end users.
- Design and develop computer hardware and peripherals, including CPUs, support logic, microprocessors, custom ICs, printers, and storage devices.
- Direct technicians, engineering designers, and other technical support personnel as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in digital/analog circuit design, PCB design, and hardware validation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear verbal and written communication.
- Knowledge of hardware-software integration, embedded systems, and device drivers.
- Experience with EDA tools and simulation for schematic capture and layout review.
- Understanding of telecommunications concepts such as transmission, switching, control, and operations.
- Working knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, including related software and applications.
- Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail and mentoring capability.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with microprocessor architecture, custom IC development, and high-speed interfaces.
- Background in reliability engineering, DFM/DFT, and regulatory compliance testing.
