Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience administering servers, endpoints, cloud services, identity and access management, cybersecurity, backups, and network operations.
This role will provide Tier 2/3 technical support, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, maintain system reliability and security, and contribute to automation and process improvements using tools such as PowerShell.
The position is initially offered as a contract role and may have the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.
Job Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Windows servers, endpoints, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, and Microsoft Entra ID environments.
Administer Active Directory, user accounts, groups, permissions, and access controls.
Support identity and access management, including user provisioning and deprovisioning.
Monitor system performance, availability, and overall infrastructure health.
Provide Tier 2/3 support for hardware, software, server, endpoint, and infrastructure issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while minimizing system downtime.
Manage backup, recovery, and business continuity processes.
Support network operations, connectivity, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
Implement and maintain cybersecurity and endpoint security controls.
Use PowerShell and automation to streamline administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
Assist with system upgrades, migrations, patching, configuration, and maintenance.
Document system configurations, procedures, troubleshooting steps, and operational processes.
Work with internal teams and external vendors to resolve infrastructure and technical issues.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and infrastructure optimization.
Maintain a secure, scalable, reliable, and high-performing technology environment.

Qualifications
Hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator, Windows Administrator, Infrastructure Administrator, or Systems Engineer.
Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
Experience with Azure and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
Strong understanding of identity and access management.
Experience supporting enterprise endpoints and IT infrastructure.
Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience providing Tier 2/3 technical support.
Working knowledge of cybersecurity and endpoint security practices.
Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
Understanding of basic network administration and troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently in an onsite enterprise IT environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing hybrid Microsoft environments.
Experience with Microsoft Intune or endpoint management platforms.
Experience with Azure infrastructure and cloud services.
Experience with virtualization technologies.
Knowledge of security frameworks, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
Experience working with IT vendors and managed service providers.
Experience developing automation scripts using PowerShell.
Work Environment
100% onsite at the Kansas City, KS location.
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Standard workweek of up to 40 hours.
Background check and drug screening may be required.
Customer interview is expected and may be conducted virtually or by phone.
Contract Opportunity
This is initially a 3–12 month contract position intended to provide coverage while the customer searches for a permanent replacement. Depending on business needs and performance, the position may have an opportunity to transition into a permanent role.
