The Infrastructure Team Lead is responsible for leading the design, implementation and ongoing operations of enterprise infrastructure services. This role provides technical leadership and daily management for a team of infrastructure administrators. The Team Lead collaborates closely with the application, data, and security teams to deliver high-quality services.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical direction and guidance to the IT Infrastructure Team
  • Manage the daily tasks and priorities of the IT Infrastructure Team
  • Assigning and managing tasks and projects using Azure DevOps to balance workload and capacity
  • Manage the implementation of future infrastructure technology solutions with direction from Senior Infrastructure partners
  • Manage on-premises and cloud environments including AWS, Active Directory, Azure, Entra, and M365 resources.
  • Establish metrics and reporting to measure maturity and adoption for incident, change, and problem management
  • Establish and maintain technology standards, templates, and technical documentation as necessary
  • Develop a strong culture of customer service and exceeding partner expectations on a daily basis
  • Develop and implement formal training and onboarding practices to promote growth and development within IT Infrastructure team
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct supervision of the support team leads and individual contributors with varying experience levels
  • Development of team members including training, regular feedback, and establishment of goals
  • Development and adoption of support metrics, reporting, and accountability across all support teams
  • Performing weekly interactions, proactive performance management and long-term career planning

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Leadership experience in IT support focused on managing end user technology and teams
  • Experience leveraging effective communication and collaboration techniques to establish relationships with leaders across IT
  • Experience automating system maintenance and routine activities
  • Extensive experience managing enterprise-level Microsoft technologies including but not limited to Azure, Active Directory, Entra, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune and M65
  • Experience and knowledge of project management principles, including ownership of project scope, scheduling, resources, risk, and issue management

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Expertise in building relationships with technical and business partners
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft including Azure, Entra, M365 and Active Directory
  • Strong understanding of networking including Cisco Meraki
  • Strong scripting skills including PowerShell and Python to automate manual tasks
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to senior leadership and to coach an guide more junior support resources
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn new systems and technologies to support current and future needs
