Required Pay Scale: $55-60hr W2

Summary

The individual in this role is responsible for tool and service designs within a technical domain that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. They are the primary contributor to the creation of infrastructure tools and their integration as an infrastructure service. The role facilitates deployment of technical solution by developing templates, playbooks and automation used during implementation. They consistently look for opportunities to improve the reliability and efficiency when implementing and maintaining infrastructure tools and/or services. This individual embraces a culture that drives innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist in translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies.
• Conduct on-site evaluations of third-party products being considered for firm adoption.
• Assist in evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose.
• Develop software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes.
• Assist Technical Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers by ensuring that technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards.
• Contribute to the creation/selection of functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements within and across domains.
• Act as a consultant on a range of technologies where he or she is a subject matter expert.
• Promote an inclusive and healthy working environment and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockers.

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Architecture roles.
• Strong experience translating business requirements into technical designs, reference architectures, blueprints, deployment standards, and operational playbooks.
• Hands-on expertise with infrastructure automation and scripting using tools such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Experience developing and implementing reusable infrastructure templates, automation frameworks, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies including Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms, networking, storage, cloud platforms, and security controls.
• Experience evaluating, testing, and integrating third-party infrastructure tools and products into enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of architecture governance, engineering standards, security policies, and compliance requirements within large-scale organizations.
• Experience supporting cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Ability to develop software or automation solutions that eliminate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Experience creating technical documentation including solution designs, deployment guides, reference models, engineering standards, and operational procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across infrastructure, platform, and application layers.
• Experience working within Agile, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering delivery models.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems (Git/GitHub/Azure DevOps), and automated deployment methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to consult engineering teams, architects, project managers, and business partners on technical solutions.
• Experience conducting technical product evaluations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technology assessments with documented recommendations.
• Ability to ensure infrastructure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, resiliency, scalability, and operational support requirements.
